4/30/2023 0 Comments Coupon for simplecadand the initial noise tests from Dodotronics. I assured him it's simple CAD work and they would, for a while, have the coolest 10mm ECM on the PLANET! Then I FWD'd him someone griping about Primo availability vs Mouser and JLI and the Chinese. Basically I suggested that they make the AOM-5025CA-HD a EM-173 killer with the LN fet inside and ALL other caps out, and 4 total solder pads: SRC, DRAIN, GAte, and GND, expose any buzz-kill caps and manufacture it with the 10pF CA cap people can chop off. I educated him quite a bit he did not know of the Linkwitz Mod and who he was, and sadly, I did not know, but Sigfried DIED in Sept? I sent the kid that too. I DID reach out to a young man at PUI who is going to run this up the flag-pole as they say. I suppose A person would push on the PCB while burnishing the rim back down, but it would have to be with some small vise or press, upside down nail? whatever is on the bench more likely. There is so much contact with the gate-ring, that looks fine. Going back together fold as much metal back as possible, I guess not air-sealing it is GOOD or it would not handle changes in ambient air pressure too well, says your link. It is quite small stuff though, I think I could do that. No I have not taken a cap-meter to the buzz-kill caps, and gee, if one of those were in the right value, stand it on end on it's own Drain pad and fly a wire to the gate. The CAD work is nothing it's the manufacturing I suppose. I have to wonder though, if we could have PUI make such a variation: 3-wired 5025CA-HD hah. a SMD cap will fit in there on the right hemisphere. I believe it is possible to drop in a cap for charge-amp since a strand of wire-wrap wire can mate-to-the-gate and the outer inner gold ring still mate with the silver tube all the way around *if* you do not scrape that solder-mask away South of the gate there. The other parts are stacked in order that they came out and on the unseen part of the diaphragm is the typical metal washer the membrane is affixed to that mates to the outer shield of the mike, the alu body. Here is a further breakdown of the 5024, not quite perfect since the inner teflon_ish tube and metal tube it covers, decided to fly and be free.
